Group C is definitely a ‘group of death’ in this season of the Champions League. Right now, Liverpool are at the top, but the other three teams are not far behind. Liverpool’s next opponent, PSG has only 1 point fewer, which means that a win at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday evening could get them to a place that leads to the knockouts. Obviously, the importance is huge, so anything can happen here. That’s why the best thing you can do is read this PSG vs Liverpool prediction before placing any bets.
PSG
The French heavyweight is without a single defeat since September. And that’s when they lost to Liverpool in England. Now, they’re playing at home, where they’re without a defeat since May, when they lost to Rennes. And most of the games played at home were big wins. It’s not a big surprise that PSG are so great at home ground, because Parc des Princes has the capacity of nearly 50k.
Obviously, playing at home, PSG look like favorites against almost any team on the planet. The problem is that in this game they might need to play without their two best players, Neymar and Mbappe. According to the latest reports, the two have overcome their injuries, but are not yet 100% ready for the match.
Of course, PSG are much more than just Neymar and Mbappe, but without the two giving their utmost, the French champion is bound to struggle with scoring goals. Of course, PSG do have some really talented players in the final, like Cavani for example, but the question is can he do well without the two pacey forwards.
Liverpool
If Neymar and Mbappe don’t play on Wednesday, Liverpool chances of getting a good result will increase significantly. But, even with the two in PSG’s team, Liverpool do seem capable of defending their net. Sure, it would be hard to keep a clean sheet in Paris, but the Reds do have fantastic defenders who could keep PSG goals to a minimum.
Of course, the biggest strength of Liverpool this season is their attack. I say ‘this season’, but it seems that their attack has always been strong. With Salah, Mane, and Firmino in the team, Liverpool seem capable of scoring against any opponent.
What’s got to worry them ahead of the trip to France is that Liverpool aren’t great when playing on the road. And this is particularly the case when it comes to their performances in the Champions League. Reds have already lost to Napoli in Naples, which wasn’t such a big surprise. But, they also lost to Red Star in Belgrade, which was a major upset.
And because they lost those two games, they now have the same number of points as Napoli; 1 point more than PSG, and only 2 more than Red Star. This means that they need to do their utmost in order to avoid losing in France, if they want to get to the knockout stage.

PSG vs Liverpool Prediction
Both teams need a good result on Wednesday evening, which is why I think this is going to be a very close game. In my opinion, we’re most likely to see a draw here, but I wouldn’t recommend betting on the match outcome. Instead, better focus on goals. I think we’ll see them on both sides.
