Tottenham have been in a fantastic form in the league lately, which made their chances for winning the title much, much better. It’s now essential to keep the good run going and for that, they need to beat Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon. Can they do it? Burnley

Last season, Burnley finished on the 7^th position on the Premier League table. This season, they’re struggling to get away from the danger zone. Right now, they have only 3 points more than Southampton, a team that’s in the relegation zone.

But, this doesn’t mean that Burnley have forgotten how to play football in just one season. Actually, most of the players who were in the team last season are still in the squad. So, why haven’t they been playing much better?

Well, they’ve started improving their form recently. Actually, they’re without a Premier League defeat since the Boxing Day, winning 4 and drawing 3 matches since. But, getting away from the bottom is not going to be easy, because they dropped a huge amount of points early on in the season.

Still, there’s no discussion that they have the quality for playing in the top English flight. Actually, they do seem like a real mid-table team that shouldn’t worry too much about relegation. Unfortunately, at the moment, their relegation worries are justified. And this means that they need to do all in their power to win as many points as possible. Even a draw on Saturday could mean a lot to this team later on.

Tottenham

The Spurs now have 5 points less than Liverpool and Man City, but City have played one game more. This means that with a win on Saturday afternoon, Tottenham could come very close to the current Premier League title holders. Another reason why winning at Turf Moor is of utmost importance is that Tottenham need to keep their heads held high as some pretty tough matches are along the way.

After the game with Burnley, they play against Chelsea and Arsenal in the Premier League, followed by a Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund. Not beating Burnley could have a devastating impact on their confidence.

But, they look like real favorites here. It’s not just that their players seem much better than those in Burnley squad. It’s also because they’ve been in a terrific form lately. They’ve won 5 out of 6 Premier League matches in 2019, scoring 11 goals along the way. And they did it without several of their key men, including their top striker, Harry Kane and one of their best midfielders, Dele Alli.

Unfortunately for the Spurs’ fans, these guys are still out, but this doesn’t mean they won’t be able to do without them. Son has been really fantastic lately, scoring at least once in every game he played for Tottenham since returning from the Asian Cup in late January.
