Premier League is back this Friday and a game that could be very interesting to watch is the clash between West Ham and Fulham. Apart from being interesting to watch, the match at the Olympic Stadium could be very good for betting. And if you’re looking for West Ham vs Fulham prediction and betting tips, you’ll find them here!
West Ham
The Hammers are currently on the 110th place on the Premier League table and it seems that they’re going to end the season somewhere near the middle of the table. They would probably be fine with such a scenario, but achieving it won’t be that easy unless they improve their form quickly. The thing is that West Ham have won only 2 points in the Premier League in the last 4 rounds.
After beating Arsenal on 12th of January, they lost to Bournemouth and Wolves. They did get a good result against Liverpool (draw) but then played another draw in the following match against Crystal Palace.
Now they got a chance to get back on the right track by beating one of the worst teams in the league. And to do that, they’ll have the support from the stands of their stadium, where they’ve won 5 matches so far this season.
What’s got to worry them is that they still have problems with injuries. There are several first-team players who will have to miss this game. And it’s been like this for several weeks already, meaning that those players who aren’t injured have to play more minutes, which in turn, makes them feel tired.
Fulham
Fulham are among the biggest favorites for relegation. They’re currently second from the bottom, with 8 points less than Cardiff and Newcastle who are in the safe zone with 25 points each. To overtake one of those positions, Fulham will have to work very hard and get in a better form ASAP.
But, that doesn’t seem like a very plausible scenario. They probably feel down after losing 5 out of 6 Premier League matches they played in 2019. And the main reason why they’ve been so poor is that their defense has been dreadful.
This is the team with the largest number of conceded goals in the Premier League. They’ve allowed 58 goals so far, which is 10 goals more than what Huddersfield conceded, the team that has the second-worst defense in the league.
The worst thing is that Fulham management seems not to care about tackling this issue. They had a chance to bring in a good defender during the January transfer window, but instead, they decided to sign a few more wingers forward (Babel, Markovic, etc.). Unfortunately, their plan doesn’t seem to be working, because Fulham aren’t scoring much. Actually, after scoring 4 against Brighton, they failed to score a single goal in the two Premier League matches afterward.
