The two teams from Manchester are the biggest favorites for winning the FA Cup trophy this season. But, for Man United to get a step closer to achieving that goal, they need to beat Wolves at the Molineux Stadium where they’re without a defeat since January. Wolves
They’re in a pretty decent form at the moment, which has got them this far in the FA Cup. It also brought them to a respectable position on the Premier League table. Even though they got promoted last season, Wolves have nothing to worry about getting back to the Championship. Actually, they’re currently at the 7th place on the table, meaning that with a little bit of luck, they could get a place in Europa League.
Speaking of the Europa League, they could get there if they win the FA Cup. They can also get there if they lose the final to a Premier League team that’s gotten a place in Europe, e.g. Manchester City. They can even get a place in the Europa League if they finish at the 7th place on the Premier League table, while the FA Cup winner and the runner-up are teams from the EPL top 6, e.g. Manchester City and Manchester United.
What this means is that in order to book a spot in Europa League, they have several ways in front of them. The obvious one is to do their best in the FA Cup and try to reach the final. And I think that’s what they’ll focus on. Leaving Man united behind would significantly increase their chances of playing in Europe the next season.
But, that’s easier said than done, because the Red Devils have been fantastic since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been in charge. Wolves’ biggest advantage in this game is going to be the home turf. They’ve been sensational at home lately, winning 5 out of previous 6 matches in all competitions. And the match that they didn’t win was a draw.
Manchester United
The Red Devils have set their eyes on the Champions League. After pulling off one of the biggest comebacks in the history of this competition (against PSG), they’re now confident they can go really far, even though it’s not going to be easy because they’re playing Barcelona in the quarterfinal. Still, they now have the eye of a tiger and are ready to give their utmost in that tournament.
But, this also means that they might lose focus in other competitions. Actually, after beating PSG in France, they lost to Arsenal in London, which was their first Premier League defeat since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been in the charge of the team.
They also have some problems with injuries, so if they slip on Saturday, you shouldn’t be too surprised. Actually, their injury problems are serious, particularly at the back, where many of their players are either injured or struggling with fitness.

Wolves vs Manchester United Prediction
Manchester United might be the bigger club of the two, but I think Wolves could pull off an upset here. They are extremely motivated to do well in this competition because it would give them a ticket to the Europa League. And they’re in a great form at the moment, especially at home.
