In the first leg, the score was 2:0 for PSG; now it’s up to Manchester United to try to cause a big upset at Parc des Princes on Wednesday evening. Will the Red Devils manage to pull off such a feat and get themselves a place in the quarterfinals of the Champions League? Read our PSG vs Manchester United Prediction & Betting Tips to find out!
PSG
PSG are huge favorites to leave Man United behind and it’s not just because of their impressive performance in Manchester. The main reason is that they have a sensational team this season and such, are among the biggest favorites for winning the trophy.
They do have some problems with injuries, but that doesn’t seem to bother them much. Not only are they just a step away from getting to the next stage of the Champions League, but they’re also very close to winning the French Ligue 1 title once again.
All of this came as a result of a superb form they’ve been in lately. PSG have won 7 games in a row in all competitions. The most impressive fact about this is that they did it without several of their key men, including Neymar and Cavani, who have been out for the past couple of weeks. These guys won’t feature in the game against Manchester United, but they could get to play in the Champion League this year if PSG reach the final stages.
But, to get to the final, they need to pass one obstacle at a time. And the one that they yet haven’t passed is Manchester United. Although they don’t need to win on Wednesday to get to the next stage, I think they’ll probably be very eager to beat the Red Devils once again. After all, they’re playing in front of their own crowd, where they’ve lost only two games in the past 12 months.
Manchester United
Manchester United are hoping they’ll play in this completion again next season. To do that, they need to finish among the top four in the Premier League or win this season’s Champions League. It seems that they’re realistic about their chances, which is why their focus is going to be the domestic league.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that they’re traveling to France without any ambitions. Man United aren’t afraid to dream and with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm, their players are allowed to express themselves on the pitch. This means that they will come to Pac Des Prices not to defend but to attack. And when you cast a die, anything can happen; you may win even if the odds aren’t too great.
Unfortunate, the odds seem really bad that they’d get anything from this match. And the main reason is not that PSG are a fantastic team that plays amazing at their turn; the main reason is that the Red Devils have horrible problems with injuries. Almost all of their first XI are either sidelined due to injuries or struggling with their fitness. Plus, Paul Pogba will miss the game because of the red card he received in the first leg.
