World Cup 2014: Russia vs South Korea Betting Preview

Russia and Belgium are the main candidates to qualify in the 1/8 finals from the Group H.

Russia have prepared very good for this competition. They are without defeat in their last 10 matches (7-3-0). In the last 5 matches they have managed to win 4 times and conceded only 2 goals. Despite the fact that Russians have domestic-based players in squad they have quality to go through.

Their captain Roman Shirokov is out due to injury.

South Korea have very decent squad but it’s questionable are they well prepared for the first match on World Cup. In the last 2 preparing match they have failed to score and they lost both matches. First, they played against Tunisia and lost 1-0. After that, in the last match before World Cup, Ghana smashed them 4-0.

South Korea have managed to win only once in their last matches (1-0-4) and on all 4 lost matches they failed to score.

Russia have more quality players and I believe Fabio Capello’ squad will take the first 3 points and make one step forward to reach the 1/8 finals.

Probable lineups:

Russia (4-2-3-1): Akinveev; Anyukov, Ignashevich, Berezutskiy, Kombarov; Denisov, Shirokov; Samedov, Zhirkov, Dzagoev; Kerzhakov.

South Korea (4-2-3-1): Jung Sung-ryong; Lee Yong, Hong Jeong-ho, Kim Young-gwon, Kim Chang-soo; Park Jong-woo, Ki Sung-yeung; Lee Chung-yong, Koo Ja-cheol, Son Heung-min; Park Chu-young.

Referee: Nestor Pitana (Argentina).

Russia vs South Korea Betting Tip: 1 @ 1.8
