World Cup 2014: Brazil vs Colombia Betting Preview

In the first match of 1/4 finals on World Cup 2014 will meet Brazil and Colombia.

Brazil have very good squad, they are host of this tournament and the main candidate to win the trophy, but they have many problems when play with some stronger opponents. In the 1/8 finals they won Chile after penalties. They didn’t create many chances and failed to score. True, they have pretty good defence, but they face with many problems in attack.

Brazil beat Croatia 3-1 in the opening match of the World Cup and after very suspicious penalty (watch it here). After that game they played very good against Mexico, but Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa was amazing in the match without goals. Then, an easy win against Cameroon and tough win against Chile.

They qualified in the 1/4 finals but their performance wasn’t impressive.

Luis Gustavo is suspended for this match.

Colombia is one of the best national teams on this World Cup so far and I think they don’t want to go home after this match. 4 matches – 4 wins, Colombia scored 11 goals, conceded only 2 which is very impressive.

James Rodríguez is in a great form and he’s the current top scorer so far with 5 goals.

Despite the fact that Brazil is a “favorite” and host, I can’t imagine that they will qualified in the 1/2 finals. Actually, I expect Colombia to go through.

I hope referee will not be on home side and that’s the only worry.

However, I’ll bet on Colombia to qualify in the 1/2 finals for not high stake.
