Spain – Primera Division: Valencia vs Barcelona

In the one of the most interesting matches in Primera Division this weekend, Valencia host Barcelona.

Valencia started this season pretty good and after 12th round they are standing at the 4th position. They have 9 points less than leader on the table Real Madrid, but it’s hard to believe that home side can win the title.

Their main goal this season is to qualify in the Champions League next season and they are doing good job so far. Valencia failed to win in the last two matches in Primera. First they took one point against Athletic Bilbao in the goalless draw, while in the last round they lost against Levante 2-1, so the match against mighty Barca doesn’t come in the right moment.

However, they have to improve their performance in order to keep their chance to finish at the top 4 teams this season.

After two lost matches in a row, against Real Madrid and Celta, Barcelona improved their performance and won the last 4 matches, including victories in Champions League. In the previous round in Primera they smashed Sevilla 5-1, while 5 days ago Barca was better side in the Champions League match against APOEL.

Real Madrid beat Malaga 1-2 last night and now they have 5 points more than Barca, but the club from Barcelona have one match less, so they have to go for a win in this match in order to stay in a race for the title.

Both teams have full squad available, no problems with injuries and suspensions.

Barca is better side, but they have to show that on the pitch. It won’t be an easy match for them, but I believe that they could take all three points.
