Southampton had a very poor start to the Premier League season and the international break couldn’t have come at a better time for the Saints. The 2-1 loss at Stoke before the break made it four defeats, one draw and just one win in their last six outings in all competitions. After the departure of Sadio Mane – it’s been long since he left – the Saints have struggled for goals and it has been their bane.
