A lot of the problems stem from an ability to replicate performances at San Mames, where they had won three on the spin before recently losing 2-0 to Celta Vigo when travelling. This season, Athletic has won only once on the road despite having had seven attempts at doing so, collecting a paltry two of the last fifteen points available away from home since edging Eibar at their Ipurua Stadium on Matchday 2.
