A few weeks ago, there was a real Bournemouth craze in the Premier League. Everyone was talking about them as a team that could surprise everyone and get themselves a place in the Europa League at the ends of the season. What Burnley was last season, pundits though Bournemouth was going to be in 2018/2019.
But, their recent form proved them wrong. Sure, no one can say that they haven’t collected an impressive number of points, but it seems that they are going to slow down in the second half of the season. They had a good run, but the fact is that they’re just not good enough like many other teams in the Premier League.
In fact, Bournemouth look like a real mid-table team. They won’t get relegated, while at the same time, they don’t have the quality to hope for a spot in Europe. And the fact that they’ve already lost to each of the teams from the top 5 positions on the Premier League table shows that they have nothing to hope for on Sunday evening.
