Liverpool vs Manchester United Prediction and Betting Tips

The North West Derby, that is, the clash between Liverpool and Man United should bring us a lot of excitements, unless Mourinho does what he did the last season at the Anfield, when he parked the bus, causing the game to finish 0:0. Will it be the same this time? I doubt it, because the Reds need a win here. Can they manage it or the Red Devils will find a way to ruing their plans – find it out in the Liverpool vs Manchester United prediction and betting tips!

Mohamed Salah, Liverpool

Liverpool

The Reds have a very good week behind them. Mid-week, they beat Napoli and book themselves a place in the knockouts of the Champions League. Even more importantly, they got to the top of the Premier League table last weekend when Manchester City lost to Chelsea.

Of course, the Manchester Sky Blues are breathing by their neck with just 1 point less. This means that they can get back to the top if Liverpool fail to beat the team from the red part of Manchester. You can be sure that Klopp’s boys are going to try it.

Liverpool have been in a sensational form in the Premier League lately, winning 5 out of 5 previous games. And the thing that’s really giving them confidence ahead of the Sunday’s game is that their play in front of their crowd. At the Anfield, they have won 6 and drew only 1 game this season, with a total goal difference of 15:1.

More good news for them is that most of their key men are fit and ready for the match. Even those who had been struggling with injuries last month are almost 100% ready to get back in the game.

Manchester United

The Red Devils are currently at the 6th place, which isn’t that bad considering how tough the Premier League is this season. Still, they could drop down a lot on the table before the end of the year, as several teams are very close behind. For example, Brighton, who are at the 13th place, have only 5 points fewer.

Still, I doubt Manchester United are worried, particularly because after the game with Liverpool they have a couple of very winnable matches. But, does this mean that they’re going to the Anfield waving a white flag?

Surely not, but they do have some serious problems at the back, so Mourinho might not be able to defend with all he got. Instead, he’ll probably be forced to focus his tactic on possession and try to win the midfield battle in order to keep the ball away from De Gea’s goal. But, I doubt even that can help the Red Devils on Sunday.

Liverpool vs Manchester United Prediction

Even if the Red Devils didn’t have such serious problems at the back, I would still think Liverpool are the favorites here. This way, I have no doubt they’re going to win this one. And we should see them putting at least a few goals behind De Gea’s back.
