The Reds have been sensational at the Anfield. They lost only one home match this season and it was in the League Cup against Chelsea. They’re still without a defeat at the Anfield in the Premier League with 11 wins and two draws. When it comes to their Champions League performances at home, they’ve been fantastic, winning each of their group matches. And this is really impressive considering that they played in probably the toughest group, together with PSG, Napoli, and Red Star.
Liverpool are always favorites when playing at the Anfield, but that’s not the only reason why their chance on Tuesday evening seems good. They’ve also been in a great form lately. They did start the year with two defeats, but they got themselves back on the right track lately. Ten days ago when they played their last match, Liverpool hammered Bournemouth 3:0 at home. Why this is important is that Bournemouth beat Chelsea 4:0 just two rounds before. And beating them has certainly given the Reds the confidence boost they need.
But, not all is great in Liverpool squad. They have some problems with absentees, particularly at the back. Joe Gomez is a long-term absentee, but Dejan Lovren has also gotten injured lately. Even that isn’t the biggest problem of Liverpool ahead of Bayern Munich game. Their biggest problem is the absence of Virgil van Dijk, who’s going to miss the game due to yellow cards.

Bayern Munich have a very bad record with Liverpool, having both of the duels they had in the 21st century. But, Bayern are in a pretty good form lately and it won’t be a surprise if they managed to get themselves a good result on Tuesday evening.
