Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan is the venue where Inter will welcome Fiorentina this Tuesday in a Serie A match. The hosts haven’t been playing too well in the Italian top flight, but their last week’s performance in the Champions League has certainly given them the boost they needed. Maybe it’s time to take their performances to the next level at the expense of Fiorentina?
Inter
Last week, Inter pulled off one of the biggest comebacks in their recent history. They managed to beat Tottenham 2:1 despite being a goal down till 86th minute. But then they scored twice, both of which came as result of team effort.
This weekend, they snatched another late victory, when they played Sampdoria in Genoa. The score was 0:0 until the 4th minute of the stoppage time when Marcelo Brozovic scored the winner. It’s needless to say that the fans demand more from this team than winning matches late in the game.
But, Inter definitely do have the player quality and it seems it’s just the matter of time when they’ll start playing much more impressively. And with the help from the stands, they do seem capable of winning on Tuesday evening, thus continuing their victorious run. And that run should not stop any time soon.
Inter have a convenient schedule ahead. After the game with Fiorentina, they have some pretty matches in Serie A (against Cagliari and SPAL), which they need to win. Humiliating performances like the one against Parma must stay in the past if they want to stay in the competition for one of the top spots on the table.
Fiorentina
Considering how Fiorentina have been playing, they might compete with Inter for a spot in one of Euro competitions at the end of the season. Right now, this team has 10 points, which came as a result of winning three and drawing one out of five games.
Truth be told, Viola have been impressive only when playing against fairly weaker sides. But, every point counts, so the fact that they beat Chievo, Udinese, and SPAL does not mean they don’t deserve to be near the top of the table. But, it does mean that they are not favorites against Inter.
Actually, when playing against tougher sides, Fiorentina haven’t been very impressive. They lost to Napoli and played draw with Sampdoria. Both of those games were played on the road, which is another worry for their fans ahead of the trip to Milan.
What gives them hope is that Fiorentina are playing well, particularly in the attacking department. This team has scored 11 goals in five rounds of Serie A, which is five more than what Inter scored. They have also been very good defensively, allowing only three goals along the way.

Inter vs Fiorentina Match Prediction
Fiorentina seem to be in a better form, but Inter have the player quality on their side. They will also have the support from the stands of Giuseppe Meazza, which has helped them beat Tottenham in the Champions League last week.
Although I think we will see a home win here, I also think Fiorentina is going to give Inter a run for their money. Viola are great in the attack, so we’re likely to see lots of goals here.
