EPL Top Scorer Betting Odds

Aside the market for who will win the 2017/2018 premier league title, the other most sought after market is the market for the EPL top scorer. Tottenham’s Harry Kane has won the top scorer award for the last two seasons and is odds on to win it again this season.

Dele Alli and Harry Kane, Tottenham Hotspur

Aside of the time of writing this article, Kane has eight goals. The same as Sergio Aguero. While the likes of Sterling, Lukaku, Gabriel Jesus, Salah and Morata are currently on seven goals.

Aguero is sure going to give Kane a good run for the top scorers award this season but considering his injury records, I won’t be surprised if he misses some match. Premier league club reports show Chelsea is beginning to pick off and hence, I won’t be surprised if Morata starts scoring for fun. He has the ability and the presence of Hazard and Fabregas would be key.

Harry Kane’s odds

Kane is 7/4 to win the top scorer award via Skybet, Williamhill, 888sport and betvictor while Bet365, betfred and boylesports has him at 6/4 to win the it.

Second favorite is Sergio Aguero who is priced at 9/2 via bet365, unibet and 888sport to win the award. Skybet, ladbrokes, williamhill, coral and boylesport all have Aguero priced at 7/2 for the top scorer award.

Lukaku whose form in recent weeks seems to have declined, along with Manchester United’s form, is third. The likes of Ladbrokes, Coral and Boylesports have Lukaku at 9/2 to win.

Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford, Manchester United

Gabriel Jesus, Morata and Lacazette are fourth, fifth and sixth respectively. Which to be is quite surprising. I fully expect the odds of Lacazette to shorten in the next few weeks. The Frenchman has so far scored six goals but that could have been more if not for the hot/cold form of Arsenal so far this season. I expect the Gooners to somehow pick form especially with Ozil and Sanchez back to the side at least till January.

Morata too is underrated for the top scorer award. He missed about three weeks of action and still has managed to score seven goals. And this is despite the poor form of Chelsea. Having beaten Manchester United over the weekend, I expect Chelsea’s confidence to be high at the moment and with Hazard looking like he is beginning to regain form, I won’t be surprise if Morata starts scoring more goals.

And as for Gabriel Jesus, it would appear Pep Guardiola prefers a one striker system and unless Aguero gets injured, the Brazilian may have to make do with a bit-part role in City’s attack. I will pick Lacazette and Morata ahead of him for the top scorer award.
