In the last match of 17th round in Premier league, Arsenal will host Chelsea. This match is very important for both sides and the team who win this one will be at the top of the table.
Defeats in Champions League against Napoli 2-0 and Manchester City 6-3 are hard to forget, but Arsenal is playing very good this season, especially at home (6-1-1).
Abou Diaby (0/0), Yaya Sanogo (1/0), Ryo Miyaichi (2/0) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (1/0) are all injured.
Jack Wilshere (15/2) is suspended, while Laurent Koscielny (15/0) is doubtful.
Lukas Podolski has recoverd from a hamstring injury and maybe he will get the chance in this match. Thomas Vermaelen will play as central defender along with Mertesacker.
Vermaelen has played on 5 matches this season (he was in the starting eleven only once), so maybe this could be a problem for Arsenal.
After two wins in a row, over Steaua 1-0 in Champions League and Crystal Palace 2-1 in Premier League last week, Chelsea lost in Capital One Cup in Sunderland 2-1 after extra time, but Chelsea didn’t score on that match (Cattermole scored an autogoal).
Marco van Ginkel (2/0) and Ryan Bertrand (1/0) are both injured, while Michael Essien (2/0) is out due to suspension. But, they didn’t play too much this season, so I could say that they are not an important absences.
Those two teams have already played this season in Capital One Cup and Chelsea won that one 0-2.
Arsenal lost two times in a row and it would be too much if they lose again. Actually, I believe they could win this game, but I’ll cover this bet with “draw no bet”.
