In the second match of 1/8 finals in Czech Republic Plzen host Hradec Kralove.
In the first match Plzen was better side and beat Hradec 1-2 away and they are very close to reach the 1/4 finals, so they could be more relax for this match.
In Synot liga they are standing at the first position and they are one of the main candidates for the title this season. The last week Plzen lost against Jihlava 2-1, despite the fact that they had a lead on the half-time. On the other side, their main candidate for the title Sparta Prague beat Slovacko 0-2 and now the difference between these two teams is only one point.
On Sunday they will host Bohemians 1905 and for them that match is more important.
For the match against Hradec, they will be without few regular players.
The first goalkeeper Kozáčik (13/0 gk), Procházka (14/1 d), Řezník (14/2 d), Limbersky (14/2 d), Hrošovský (14/0 m), Hořava (14/2 m), Petržela (14/2 m) and Pilař (14/2 m) are all out.
All these players played in every match this season in Synot liga, except their goalkeeper Kozáčik, who missed one match.
On the other side, Hradec is poor team who’s standing at the bottom of the table and they are main candidate for relegation. They know that they have very small chances to do something against current leader Plzen on this match, but I believe they will play very defensive and try to save their net.
The visitors also have some absences.
The first goalkeeper Koubek (11/0 gk), Holeš (14/0 d), Chleboun (11/0 d) and Trubač (2/0 m) are all out.
Plzen have already played against Hradec Kralove this season in Synot liga and they smashed them 4-0. But, they had full squad available in that match and I don’t believe that they will humiliate Hradec again.
Without any doubt, home side is absolute favorite to win this one and go through, despite that they will be without 8 regular players, but I believe that the visitors will not lose with 2 or more goals difference.
