AS Roma vs. Juventus Match Preview & Betting Tips

Juve are only a small step away from officially claiming another Serie A title. If they manage to beat Roma, the race is over – they’re again the champions of Italy. But, beating AS Roma in the country’s capital is not going to be easy. After all, this team managed to humiliate Barcelona at the Olimpico. So, what you should you expect from this game? Find out in AS Roma vs. Juventus match preview!

AS Roma

The chances are that we’re gonna see Roma in the Champions League again next season. They are likely to finish the season on the third place and even if they fail to do very well in the remaining two rounds, they probably won’t drop lower than the fourth place.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that Roma won’t be motivated in the match against Juve. On the contrary, they would like to get one over their ancient rivals, especially because the game is played at Roma’s home ground.

Stadio Olimpico is a venue that can accommodate almost 70 thousand supporters. That’s why it’s not a big surprise that Roma have been doing very well at home. Truth be told, they had a couple slips this season, but when it comes to the big matches, they did really well. After all, they managed to beat Barcelona 3:0 at this stadium.

Juventus

Mathematicians might not agree with me, but I think there’s absolutely no chance that Napoli can snatch the title away from Juve. For that to happen, Juventus would need to lose both of the remaining matches, while Napoli would have to win theirs. But, Juve play the final match of the season at their own home, against Hellas Verona, a team that’s already been relegated.

Juventus might even finish the job earlier. They just need to beat Roma this Sunday and the Serie A trophy is theirs. They already did it this season, although not in front of Roma’s crowd. Still, Juve don’t have problems with away matches. They’ve won 14 out of 18 away games this season in Serie A, which in the Champions League, Juve managed to triumph against heavyweights like Real Madrid and Tottenham.

Another thing going in favor of Juventus is that their squad is completely injury-free. The only player who’s gonna miss the game is Juan Cuadrado, who’s suspended due to too many yellow cards. What this means is that Juve manager, Max Allegri will be able to pick his best XI to come out on the pitch against Roma.

AS Roma vs. Juventus Match Prediction

Duels between these two teams are famously filled with excitements. I expect the same to be the case this Sunday at the Olimpico. Both sides are super-strong in the attack, not to mention that both Roma and Juve have been playing very well lately. That said, I expect to see goals on both ends. And if I had to bet on the outcome of this game, I’d probably go with Juve or perhaps a draw.
