Tottenham vs Manchester United Prediction & Betting Tips

The most exciting Premier League duel this weekend is the clash between Tottenham and Manchester United. The match takes place in London, at Wembley which currently serves as the home ground of the Spurs. The big question is who’s gonna be the happier side when the ref blows the final whistle. To find the answer, make sure to read Tottenham vs Manchester United prediction and betting tips!

Dele Alli and Harry Kane, Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham

The Spurs are currently at the 3rd place, but their ambitions are even higher. They believe they could challenge the title. Right now, they have 6 points fewer than Liverpool who are on the very top of the Premier League table. Obviously, with the second part of the season being in its early stages, anything can happen. But one thing is certain, in order to stay in the title race, they will need to keep on playing well.

And they’ve been playing really well lately. In fact, Tottenham have won every single match this year so far. They didn’t finish the last year in style, though. On the last weekend of 2018, the Spurs lost 3:1 to Wolves at home. The good news is that they bounced right back after that defeat.

The biggest problem with this team is that their bench is not long enough. They have some really fantastic players in the first squad, but when they get injured or go off on national duty, the Spurs are in trouble. This time, for instance, they will have to do without Heung-min Son, who’s playing for South Korea at the Asian Cup. And this guy has been in sensational form, scoring a total of 9 goals since the beginning of December.

Lucas Moura might also miss the game against Man United, which means that the pressure will pile on Harry Kane, Tottenham’s top scorer. But, Kane has been in a goal-scoring mood lately, scoring in each of the previous 6 matches. So, despite the problems with absentees, Tottenham still seem capable of scoring against Man United. But, what the Red Devils have to say about this?

Manchester United

Since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been in charge, Man United have been fabulous. In fact, after Mourinho got sacked, they won every single game. But, even though the departure of the Special One has made many of their players happy, that is not the only reason for their impressive form.

The thing is that Manchester United had a pretty easy schedule in the last couple of weeks. They played against Cardiff, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, and Newcastle in the Premier League, as well as against Reading in FA Cup. A real challenge comes their way this weekend when they’re traveling to the nation’s capital.

Their biggest problem ahead of this game is the injury list. Although not too many of their key men are having problems with injuries, the fact is that many of their defenders are struggling with fitness. Rojo is definitely out, while Smalling is carrying a foot injury. On top of everything, Bailly will have to sit out the game due to a suspension.

Tottenham vs Manchester United Prediction

I think the time has come for Solskjaer to experience his first defeat as the manager of Man United. At the same time, I think that there’s a big chance his team will manage to score at least one goal. Still, they’re very bad at the back, so I’m pretty sure Kane and the guys will be able to outscore them.
