Real Madrid are in the terrible state at the moment, with a number of key men sidelined due to injuries. On top of that, Los Blancos have been in a poor form in La Liga since 2019 started. Can Real Betis take advantage of all that? Find out in our Real Betis vs Real Madrid prediction and betting tips!
Real Betis
Real Betis are currently at the 6th place on the La Liga table, which is the one that leads to the UEFA Europe League qualification. They would probably be fine with staying on that spot at the end of the season, but considering that Deportivo Alaves are currently among the top 5 teams, Betis players believe that they can achieve even more.
The year hasn’t started very well for them. In fact, they’ve been in a pretty poor form for a couple of weeks already. And they really need to feel remorse for losing to Huesca and playing draw with Eibar. If they won those matches, they would be higher on the table than their next opponent, Real Madrid.
But, Real Betis do have a pretty decent squad that could hope for points against most of the teams in La Liga. This goes especially for the matches played at their turf. Estadio Benito Villamarin in Seville is the place where they won 15 out of total 26 points this season.
Real Madrid
In normal circumstances, Real Betis would not be considered favorites against Real Madrid. But, Los Blancos have some serious problems with injuries. First of all, their first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will miss the game because of a hip injury he suffered in the cup game last Wednesday. This means that Keylor Navas will have to be between the posts, which is going to be only his 3rd time this season.
Another big problem is that one of Real Madrid’s best players, Gareth Bale is also injured and will have to miss the Sunday’s duel. Marco Asensio is also injured, same as Tony Kroos. On top of everything, Lucas Vazquez will also have to miss the Real Betis duel because of a suspension.
And considering that Los Blancos have been in a very poor form lately, they are likely to have a tough time in Seville. They did beat Leganes in Copa Del Rey, but before that, they lost to Real Sociedad at home and played 2:2 in the match with Villarreal, both of which were La Liga matches. And because of those disappointing results, Los Blancos can say farewell to their title dreams. Barcelona now has 10 points more, which is a gap that’s almost impossible to bridge.

Real Betis vs Real Madrid Prediction
Los Blancos need to pull themselves together before it’s too late, but winning this game is not going to be easy. It’s not just that they have serious problems with injuries and that their form is poor, it’s also because Real Betis have always been good when playing at home. Therefore, I think a draw is the most likely outcome.
