The clash between Poland and Senegal is a game of the World Cup Group E, in which Colombia and Japan play as well. Surely, it might not be the “Group of Death”, but each team seems capable of getting to the knockout stage, which makes this game super-important both for Poland and Senegal. So, who’s gonna be the happier side after the ref’s final whistle at the Otkrytiye Arena in Moscow this Tuesday? This match preview will help you find the answer!
Poland
Poland booked their place in Russia after some really impressive performances in the qualifiers. If you don’t remember, Poland finished on the top of the group table with 8 wins in 10 matches. This team was sensational in the attack, scoring a total of 28 goals.
They achieved that mainly thanks to one guy – Robert Lewandowski. Bayern’s number 9 scored 16 goals in qualifiers, more than any other player from Europe. Of course, he wouldn’t have done it unless he had help from other players who supplied him with useful balls. Napoli’s midfielder, Piotr Zielinski was particularly good with assists, same as Kamil Grosicki and Jakub Błaszczykowski.
Poland were also great in defense in the qualifiers, even though they allowed 14 goals in total. But, a lot of those goals were conceded in the late stages of the qualification campaign, when it was already clear that they were gonna book a spot at the World Cup.
Senegal
Similarly to Poland, Senegal also had no major problems on the road to the World Cup. They finished on the top of their group in the African qualifiers, winning 4 and drawing 2 games, without a single defeat. Their goal difference in the qualifiers was 10:3. This shows that they’re strong both in the attack and in defense.
Speaking of defense, that’s where they have several big-name players. Napoli’s Koulibaly is definitely their most famous center back, but there are a few other strong defenders in their back line. And right in front of them, there are two more defensive-minded players! I’m talking about West Ham’s Cheikhou Kouyate and Everton’s Idrissa Gueye.
When it comes to the attack, Senegal’s fans are putting most of their hopes in Sadio Mane. Liverpool’s forward has been sensational this whole season, including the final of the Champions League, which his team lost to Real Madrid.
Apart from Sane, Senegal have a few other top-class forwards, all of who have one thing in common – pace. I’m talking about AC Milan’s M’Baye Niang, Rennes’ Diafra Sakho, Monaco’s Keita Balde, and Bursa’s veteran, Moussa Sow.
Possible Lineups
Poland:
Szczesny – Glik, Jedrzejczyk, Piszczek, Rybus – Zielinski, Krychowiak, Linetty, Błaszczykowski, Grosicky –Lewandowski

Poland vs. Senegal Match Prediction
There’s only one certainty about this match – it’s not going to be boring! With so much quality and motivation on both ends, we’re guaranteed to see lots of excitements in this game. So, who’s going to win? I think no one. This should end in a draw, although I wouldn’t recommend putting too much money on that. Instead, betting on lots of goals seems like a better solution.
